As with any training session, the equipment is very important. There is not much sense in trying to teach a horse nothing without the right tools. It may be possible to do so, but it will be very difficult. Even our ancestors used main types of tools and equipment to train a horse, or any type of animal. Therefore, one should know the different equipment for training horses to teach successfully your horse new tricks... or at least the bases.
Nosebands - this could be the first tool our primitive ancestors used to train and domesticate animals. It is used to steady and balance a horse when he shakes his head too and the bit is attached.
Gag bridle - it works on the lips of the horse and the polling at the same time. It prevents the horse would tilt forward too and allows the horse trainer/rider control easily.

These are fundamental and must be found in almost every local saddlery shop anywhere. Read equestrian magazines to know if there are any in your local tack shops.
To ensure that they properly flex, new training equipment should be placed on the horse and left under the Sun for a few minutes then. This will allow leather adjust properly to the horse, so to ensure that the equipment is working as you want.
